Our Story

We love the culture of Peru. After several visits and meeting so many talented crafters and artisans we decided to open a business to help support them by importing their goods.

A group of good friends have been visiting a magical plant medicine retreat center and village, Sanctuario Huistin, in the Amazon jungle next to the Boiling River in Perú for several years.

Tom began purchasing a large number of ceremonial items and textiles from indigenous Shipibo women and local artisans.  He wanted to help these people during the very difficult times of the global shutdowns. He is also deeply in love with all of the products we offer.  He eventually amassed quite a collection of beautiful items well beyond his personal needs.

He started selling these items to friends back home. It eventually turned into a store that both serves Peruvian artisans and Westerners that wanted these sacred items.

The store has steadily grown over the years and been dedicated to excellence customer service and making a difference in the lives of the artisans we purchase from.

Our dear friend and master artisan in Pucallpa Perú is Santiago, along with his wife Anita.  We have always purchased their items at their full retail price and never asked for a bulk discount.  We’ve also made orders when they’ve needed extra money.  This has allowed them to purchase a 1.5 acre plot outside the city and hand build a small country cottage.  This is close to Santiago’s mother. They often hold Ayahuasca ceremonies in their side yard with friends.

We have worked with a number of Shipibo women over the years.  Our current lead contact to this community is Dorcas at the Shipibo store in Arena Coché, Peru.

The store has been a collaboration from the beginning between two really good friends, Tom and Ana.  Ana has taken all of the beautiful photos for the store and is often a model for the clothing.  The store would have never been possible without her dedication and hard work.

We’re now on the verge of really expanding the store’s sacred product offerings and the reach of the store.  Ana’s Husband, Justin, is now joining the team to help with social media, technical skills and much more.  He’s even going to build our physical retail store in Colorado in the Spring of 2024. With a new focus, we’re looking to finally reach some goals and dreams we’ve had for years.

We also have new contacts in Perú that we hope will result in a partnership for new and unique sacred fashion products.  Look for an announcement in early 2024 about this.

We want to thank all of our loyal customers who have left us the most beautiful and heart warming reviews over the years. This means so much to us and fills our engines to keep improving and moving forward.  Without you, none of this would have been possible.

Much Love to All of You!
